SFR Atlas II mockup dummy

Anyone who's built a custom rig with an atlas in it knows what a pain it is to heave that thing in and out multiple times for test fitting, setting the clocking angle, etc. What's even worse is when you're trying to start a new project, and the lead time on your new t-case is cutting into your build time. Well I recently came up with this solution for one of my projects and I'm now offering it for sale.

This dummy t-case is designed so that by moving pieces around it can be used for either drivers or passenger side front outputs, the rear output can be slid in and out to match the 2 different output lengths, and it can be infinitely clocked. On the back there is a full clocking chart is engraved in for quick reference. It lists all the possible clocking angles for an atlas II 2speed. Also by lengthening the tube that the clocking ring is attached to this can be used to mock up 4 speed t-cases as well.

Right now I'm selling this 2 ways.

The first, and what I'm guessing will be the most popular for fabricators, is a "you weld" kit. This simply includes the CNC cut and engraved parts that make up the body. The customer will need to supply the tubes and hardware and weld the pieces together.

The second is a completely assembled version that is just like is shown in the pics.

Price for the you weld version is $50
Price for the ready to rock version is $120

Here's a pic of the "you weld" kit

To assemble it you just need a few short pieces of tubing, and a couple bolts. The "body" uses 2 sections of 2" .120 tube and the input/outputs use 1.75" tube to sleeve inside the body. I hope that makes sense

What other cases did you have in mind? Honestly I hadn't really thought about it since pretty much all of my builds recently have had an atlas, stak, or Lovell, all of which are roughly the same size. I'm open to ideas though.

I was thinking light weight mock ups of 203-205, d300 stuff like that. Mostly so you dont have to call 4 of your freinds over to help you mock up you heavy 203-205. Making a mock up of a 203-205 would be alittle hard considering not all manufacturer's dimensions are the same. Maybe just a light weight 205, d300, 241...... those heavier ones. A d300 isnt too bad to do by yourslef.

Not sure if there is a market for that. I'd have bought a dummy t-case when I was mocking up my doubler.

The 300 is an easy one for me to do since I have one on both my own vehicles, and it uses the same bolt pattern as the atlas. I'll certainly keep the others in mind as well for the future though.

I received my fake-atlas and it looks great sitting on the shelf with the rest of my parts. I look forward to using it this winter in a new project.

I still haven't decided if my build will be using a 2spd, or a 4spd tcase. This will let me build for both, and make that decision later.
