one peice driveshaft
I noticed that the newer troopers have one piece drive shafts. Does anyone know if the length of the drive shaft would fit my Trooper that has a 3 in suspension lift? I have access to a free one this weekend if it will work. I just have to drive a couple hours to put it on and stuff.
My trooper has been having problems lately with drive line vibration. My trans mount was completely gone, so I replaced it with the only one I could find from the auto parts store that was similar and would fit my auto trans. It took my three different times of ordering the part from different stores and they all have the same one that only works for the manual trans. But I did find one that worked, except it seems taller and seems like it raised my trans up a little. Which throws off the angle of the front part of my drive shaft causing more vibration. So hopefully I just need a one piece and the vibartion will finally go away. |

A lot of guys go to a one piece with Troopers and Rodeos especially after a lift. There are a few threads here and on other sites that can show you more specifics. These one piece shafts are not that expensive to have made.

Yah I figured if the one piece drive shaft I have doesn't fit, then a shop could change the length for me for not to much. I am still worried about that trans mount I have in there though. I think it threw off my pinion angle. Which I know nothing about. So how do you check the different angles of your drive shaft to make sure they are good? So after I put the one piece in I will know whether to keep the shims in the back or if I have to shim the crossmember like they do in jeeps.
