RockWild Racing's Redneck Toter

It's big so it's hard to get pics of it

Also the stickers were put on in the dark at 11pm right before it's first trip

The truck was delivered at 6pm on a friday night and we were headed to the Kansas Krawl for the competition on Sat. We checked it out and welded a hitch to the back, put one in the back and another on a trailer and were off by midnight

here's how we loaded it at first

Wouldn't you know Team RockWild got first place with the toyota and best score in the rocks overall. My spotter and I switched roles and ran his jeep as well and got 3rd with that very impressive with an open front diff!!!

We're planning to haul 2 in the box and still be able to pull a trailer

so we built a 28" dovetail and some 7.5ft ramps

we've got some good ideas for rampholders cause them things are heavy!!

We still need to solve our tie down issues and change the sleeper around a bit

um... I don't know much about it. I heavily relied on my spotter Willymutt to help find a good one. He used to sell Freightliners

so what I know

2000 FL70
560k on it
3126 800ft-lbs
eaton? 6spd with autoshift
3.72 rears
22,000 rear
11,000 front for 33k total
72" sleeper with a rig master, inverter, microwave, fridge, tv, twin bed and a bunch of cabinets
air ride seats

Spend 3-400 on a set of aluminum ramps for that thing. I would imagine those are pretty fawkin heavy and hard to use.
Fwiw, I just ordered a set from these guys for a good price... https://www.dambachramps.com/

well where the heck were you a couple weeks ago!

these are the ones we'd need ($600)
https://www.dambachramps.com/scripts...58&idCategory=

Not bad but I have ~200 in steel and wire into my dovetail/ramps/rampholders
FYI - I have some 8 ft rollers that will mount under the truck box and the ramps will store there and roll out and hook on. then to put them back you just lift one end and slide them back in. So hopefully we never need to carry them around.

As of right now they are a PAIN to deal with but are bombproof

runs 75 at 1900 rpm
I had it up to 85 once or twice though
truck got 9.6 mpg over it's life without idle
we got like 8.2 this trip but it was windy and cruise set at 75

yes rigs tied to e-track - done all the time but...
the track is rated at 6000k - there's 2 rows, screwed thru the wood into x-members every 8" welded to back of truck too. the clips "were" rated at 5k each and strap are plenty strong. The d's on those rear ones deformed though and now we're rethinking it.
I know that people with enclosed trailer use etrack all the time....

I don't know what to think

I guess the e-track that I have seen fail usually is a result of it ripping off the wall. If ya got it secured good I guess it could work. I never thought of using it in that application.

Saw the new Kenworth ad for something like that that only requires a normal Alberta drivers license to operate, and first thing that came to my mind was nice, I could fit the EB in the back no problem and the bride could have a 25' travel trailer out back!

That's a sweet rig

What motor/hp and trans and what's the wheelbase? What size box, I assume it's a 102"? How do you like the RigMaster?
We always tied over the tires so the weight of the rig helped keep the fastners in the deck but e-track is stout.

We've only used the truck twice so far
I like the rigmaster but haven't needed to "use" it. My wife left the interior light on and truck wouldn't start, fired up the rigmaster for about 5mins and the truck started right up. AC on it isn't cold but we'll fix that next spring

Nice rig.

Glad to see you're getting some use out of that Toyota PU. I was wondering what happened to that thing. It appears to have undergone a couple changes...

Trip #3

took it to disney OK for a weekend of wheeling

put my buddy's jeep up front, my yota hangin a bit out and pulled another jeep on the trailer.

I've been worried about the e-track tie downs since we bent the first few. I think this is due to the truck being at an angle out the rear.

We called up TrailerGuy to see if he had a solution. Nothing off the shelf seemed to be available so he came up with these:

I don't think I have to worry about them anymore - great idea Aaron!!
we stopped 2 times in a 4 hr trip to check the straps and each time they were always loose, I'll still stop and check but I don't think they'll come loose anymore.

We also got a set of the Mac's tie down's. Before we had the non ratchet strap kind on one end and then ratchets on the other end (see above post). It's always hard to get them the same lenght and takes forever to tie down. Now with ratchets on both end it will be quick and simple

we could really use a side door but I'm not sure how to do it with steps and all
The toyota went in almost level this time but I think I'm gonna change up the dovetail a little so that it will sit flat and not load the rear straps so much.

Plus we've still got to install my cool roller/ramp holders!

Truck drove really good with three rigs too. Other than the cross wind all the way home, it drove great. We've learned a few new things everytime we've taken it out. There are a few little things to take care of and then it will be ready for next year. The Jeep fit in there great and the Toyota wasn't that bad either. Quite the site going down the road.

The tiedowns from Trailer Guy look awesome and should eliminate any issues we had before. Thanks Aaron.
