woah ... back track to pirates vid 1 ... lol just watched it the other day " was running on the screen we have at the shop " ... flashback leafs and boggers every ware :flipoff2:
I have run some tough trails with my CJ-7 on springs but after running Jack Hammer and Sledge Hammer last year they are now gone and a four and three link are going in. After looking at the pictures and seeing what my suspension wasn't doing and knowing what a struggle it was I decided I needed to upgrade.
Team covered wagon up here in the Seattle area. We run leaves despite the grief we get from EVERYONE! Even drove the water fall on upper helldorado on leafs. It all depends on how much you hate the hop.
whatever I refuse to believe that leaf springs will ever work good. Wheel hop, axle wrap, there is no way you can combat these things to have an effective suspension.
I ran leaves for years. I ran a lot of hard core trails from coast to coast with just a plain old set of military wrapped CJ springs with them over the axles. Did it hop? Sure it did. Did it flex? Yep. It's what was 'in' back in those days.
It's only recently that I went to coils/links. Would I ever go back to leaves? Nope.
My buddy runs Waggy Leafs in the front on his TJ on 42's works great, and I know another guy who runs Leafs all the way around on an LJ Unlimited. Both work awesome.
Always liked this one!!!! And he drives the wee out of it too!!
