NEW BTF Low Life 4 Seat Chassis

We have working on a new 4 seat chassis here at Blue Torch. If any of you are in the area and want to stop by the shop. I have one sitting here now for all to see.

The NEW Low Life 4 Seat Chassis has many changes over our Fusion Chassis line. The Low Life is a builders choice style chassis. We left the front open to let the customer decide what type of sheet metal to use. In other words you can use Jeep Cj, YJ, or TJ. For the Toyota FJ lovers you can use a modified FJ40 hood and grill. With this chassis you can also go with custom sheet metal. You are not stuck using Jeep or FJ style panels. (We do have a new fiberglass Jeep JK hood and grill in the works. The JK parts have been narrowed to 59 inches wide.

The Low Life Chassis measures 59 inches wide which is a stock Jeep tube width. The chassis is fabricated from 1-3/4 x .120 DOM tube. There are some secondary bracing in the chassis using 1-1/2 x .120 and 1-1/4 x .120 DOM tube. The Low Life Chassis comes with a rear bumper and front cnc laser cut winch plate. The chassis is designed to use a Master Craft or PRP style rear bench seat. Some other features in the chassis are:

The rocker tubes are "boat sided" up 2 inches over the Fusion Chassis line.

The mid rail running around the rear of the chassis rises 2 inches to allow for a much lower ride height.

The roof design is a "Euro Style". With this roof it is very easy to build a roof panel

The change in the roof design makes for easier repairs to the chassis if needed.

The firewall section of the chassis is left more open to allow for the engine to be moved deep into the chassis if needed.

We left the tube fenders off of the front of the chassis to allow for a lower ride height and more tire clearance.

The wheelbase on this chassis is more up to tire size. You can run this chassis in the 103 and up range.

The chassis will work with just about any axle combination with a min of a 64 wms

The bare chassis weighes roughly 500 lbs

here are a couple pics...

very nice work Dan. I like the fact that it caters more to the builder. Im interested in seeing how people build and design different chassis design. Love the work

Thanks for the props. Due to rising steel cost we had to come in a little higher than what we planned and had to raise the price of our other chassis as well. This chassis will retail for roughly 5500 as it sits.

I knew someone would say they were "in". LOL. Don't have build up pics at this time. Sorry.

Thanks for the props.

Yeah we wanted to leave it open. It seems we have been chopping up the past few Fusion Chassis builds to meet different needs. I guess you can say that is the main reason for me making the change. Thanks for the props.

nice little chassis.

I like the way the subframe is made. It will make it easy to fab. boat sides and skid plates.

it would be wicked easy to chop off the whole front and add what ever custom tube work you want.

cool.

The new grill and hood should not be too far out. As soon as I have something I will post up for all to see.

Thanks

Yeah it's cool Unless it's hot outside.. But he does get 100+ mpg, I got a feeling he has already put more miles on it than I did.

-Ethan / In the hood today....
