Rock crawling is definitely cool, but sometimes I like to go FAST. Sometimes when down at Johnson Valley, I pretend like I'm Robby Gordon and hammer my Land Cruiser across the desert, over whoops at mach 4. However, my ole Cruiser can only handle so much high speed abuse. To keep my appetite for speed quenched, I like to live vicariously through my television and DVD player.

The most recent DVD in my collection is "Dezert People - SECOND LAP" by JD Films / Juice Designs and Race-Dezert.Com. Curtis Guise, the executive producer/editor/filmer, and Klaus Rasch, filmer/content coordination/web guy, really blew away anything else I've ever seen with this video. This video is non-stop hard core in-your-face mayhem in the desert!

The film is well produced - great picture quality with excellent camera angles including helicopter views, inboard shots, lots of close calls, and very upbeat music by bands such as "The Line", "Arkham", "Midline", "Mustard Plug", "Stairwell", "The Evicted", and more.

Watching the nut jobs fully geting it on this DVD keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Top racers such as Scott Steinberger (Trophy Truck #7), Steve Sourapas (Trophy Truck #6), Riviera Racing, Johnny Campbell (Honda rider and undisputed King of Baja), Jammie Campbell (Class 7s), Alan Pflueger (Protruck), Wayne Lugo (Class One Truggy), Carl Renezedar (CORR Shortcourse PRO2 and PRO4), Rys Millen Rally Driver, Robby Gordon, Baldwin Racing, Camburg Racing (MDR Class 1400) really make for a good show.

I can not emphasize how kick ass this movie is! I watched every inch of this video over and over - the bonus footage kicks major ass too. I originally watched this video with my 12 year old daughter, my buddy Kevin, and his 2 year old daughter. The two girls never took their eyes off the TV screen the entire time! Oh yeah, it's amazing what a Cadillac STS can do in the dezert...
