Normal ole aluminum nails still insidesteve83:34135489 said:The answer depends on a LOT of factors, including: materials (steel or Aluminum rivets; alloy; temper; nail?); rivet wall thickness/nail diameter; whether the nail stays inside the rivet; mounting surface wall thicknesses & materials; and presence of a reinforcement washer.
Two slides per side is an option, if need besteve83:34137505 said:Why don't you separate the slides, add rivets, and add another pair of slides for the big drawer? It's already made for 2 slides per side.
Accuride doesn't sell a direct slide replacementcamo:34146041 said:You can buy accuride slides but I am assuming you are saying they do not make one with the mounting tabs yours has. ?
I had a accuride slide on my snap on box pull apart like yours. I was able to put it back together and it works fine. It takes some fiddling with and some tweeting of the retention tabs but you should be able to put it back together.
Plan A, put slide back together
Plan B, buy same size generic Accuride slide and scavenge parts need off it to rebuild yours
Plan C, rivet replacement slide on.
So you want to put it in the back so when someone rear ends your trailer it burns up? I would still connect it to the frame and run bolts through the body (with a big spreader plate on the inside).
